Ford Escape Alarm Keeps Going Off. The 2007 Ford Escape has 5 problems reported for panic alarm is randomly going off day or night. Do not lock the car with anything else not even from the inside buttons. My car alarm keeps going off for no apparent reason and even keeps sounding when the engine is started. I use the remote to stop the alarm and pretty much write.
I have a 2007 Ford Escape and love this car. Do not lock the car with anything else not even from the inside buttons. Your car might have a very common problem. The alarm in my V6 Escape Ltd keeps on a daily basis randomly going off when parked on street. Sometimes a faulty installation or other reasons also cause the alarm to go off. The problem seems to be getting worse.
At least once a day when Im home.
But I can say that I believe this to be a Ford built-in alarm - it was a top of range model. The only hitch is that over the past year or so the alarm will go off for no reason. The bigger issue is this also randomly sets off my car alarm. It says to look on the previous page but it doesnt list steps for that anywhere. The spring acts as a follower and follows the door latching mechanism which in turn presses against the switch to break the contacts causing the alarm to go off interior lights etc. This has been going on for at least three years.
