I have a 2004 taurus and a the air conditioner clutch is worn out is there a way to bypass the air conditioner without replacing it.

Wellonly you can figure that outyou will have to use a tailors tape measure to measure around all the pulleys except the ac pulleylike if your belt now is 815 inches longthen you may need a 70 inch belt nowfor exampleor you can remove the compressor and mount the ac bypass pulley in its place and use the belt thats on it nowa new good belt will cost you almost as much as the bypass. It is a ribbed belt with grooves in it. It has a regular factory transverse V6 in it. It seems that the actual labor to install a Bypass.
